600mm Ø cast-in-situ reinforced concrete secant piles system as the diaphragm wall to 10metres depth; 5metres from either side of the existing structures, introduced to substantially reduce the amount of ground vibrations impact on the adjacent existing buildings.
The sub-structure system comprised of the reinforced concrete secant diaphragm wall and cast in situ bored piles with ground beams.
Deep longitudinal perimeter beams were also used as horizontal ties at every floor level.
